A complete lead or lead alloy weight, of probable Late Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1800). The weight is cylindrial in plan, and sub circular in cross section. One end has been squashed together. The central hole has an internal diameter of 8.1 mm. Corrosion products and soil are still present inside the central perforation. A cast lead weight of possible Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is rectangular in plan, trapezoidal in section and with faceted exterior edges on the top surface. Both front and back faces appear to be undecorated and the casting is crudly done. It measures 39.6mm in length, 34.4mm in width, 15.1mm in thickness, and weighs 167.8 grams. The lack of defined decorative motifs renders the dating of this object uncertain, although associated finds might indicate a Medeival to Post-Medieval periods.

However, it is also common for medieval shield-shaped weights from London. Suggested date: Unknown, Early Medieval to Medieval, 850-1350. Diameter: 24.5mm, Height: 10.9mm, Weight: 46.93gms.
