The object is broadly bi-conical with a slightly flattened top and almost pointed base The surface of the metal is pitted and marked and is generally of a cream and pale brown colouring with rust staining where the iron shows. The lines may represent two separate arrowhead forms or perhaps an untidy monogram including letter forms resembling M and V. A free-standing cast lead conical 43.2g (1.5 oz) weight of uncertain age, but probably dating to the Post Medieval period. It has a sub-circular base with tapering sides up to a slightly flattened apex. A circular holes runs through the centre of the weight narrowing as it does so up the length of the piece.
