A spherical, cast iron weight, probably of post Medieval or Modern date, about AD 1700 - 1900. There is a thin iron wire suspension loop, now broken. The weight is 52.3mm in diameter and weighs 474gm (1 pound, 0.75 ounces). It may have been intended as a 1lb weight without the corrosion.
