A Post Medieval cast lead alloy dress or curtain weight dating c 1700-1800. The weight is circular and flat with a central circular recess on one face measuring 7.1mm in diameter with two adjacent circular perforations. The object has a dark grey patina. Measurements: diameter: 19.3mm; thickness: 3.90mm and weight: 10.08g.  Similar objects are published in Bailey (2004) p. 83 as lead weights to hold down ladies skirts or curtains and dating to the 18th century.

A complete lead drop weight of probable Medieval date c. AD1100-1500. The weight is drop or elongated pear shape in plan with a sub-rectangular cross section. It is pierced at the narrow apex with a circular perforation. The apex descends into a narrow neck before expanding gently with sloping shoulders into the elongated main body which has gently curving sides and base. The thick circular weight is crudely cast and decorated in high relief with five circular raised pellets, four arranged in a rectangular formation around a central pellet. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy (1/4 oz) trade weight from the reign of Charles I (1625-1649) or Charles II (1660-1685). The weight is circular in plan, with a raised flat rim around the circumference of the object. The face is stamped with three marks, a crowned C (royal cypher of the King), a sword (Sword of St Paul for City of London Guildhall) and a ewer (London Founders Company, Worshipful Company of Founders).
