A cast, lead alloy weight. of uncertain date. The weight is ball shaped with a flatter surface at the top and bottom. The weight has a piercec hole from the top to the bottom. The rest of the weight is solid with a whitish grey patina. Lead weights were used throughout a large span of time and were generally easy to manufacture; therefore, they are difficult to date outside of secure archaeological contexts.
The weight measures 23.4mm in height, 27.3mm diameter and weighs 98 grams.

A probable cast lead alloy weight, dating to the Medieval to Post Medieval period. The object is nearly a quarter of a circle with two flat faces and a raised linear design on one face, perhaps indicating a cross which is common in circular weights (cf. Biggs and Withers 2000, nos. 26, 40). It is 20.67 mm long, 15.61 mm wide, 6.36 mm thick, and weighs 12.57 g. It seems that this portion was probably cut from the whole circle, and the remaining linear design almost bisects the quarter in half. The perimeter of the weight is rounded. The 'cut' surfaces seem to be contemporary to th…

Medieval cast lead pan weight with "floriated cross" design. The base is flat the sides slightly angled and the flat top has a raised design. The exact details of the equal armed cross are unclear due to corrosion but it appears to have main lobed arms the rounded ends of which are flanked by raised ovals running parallel to the edge, creating an almost fleur de lis style terminal; between each cross arm is a thin central branch radiating out from the centre with two pairs of rounded leaves coming off it and a fifth leaf or flower head at the terminal. It is 44.6mm in diameter, 11.3m…

Oval cast copper alloy discoid item, probably a Medieval, Post Medieval or Modern weight. The item has a flat base and top, the top has parallel file marks. Three sides are even and taper from the top to the bottom, the last side is rough and slightly thicker. Due to the lack of attachments or other obvious use it is assumed to be a weight. It is 28.9mm long, 26.7mm wide and 8.4mm thick; it weighs 34.18 grams.
