The weight is pyramidical with a rectangular base and sloping sides that meet at the top. At the apex of the weight there is an circular hole penetrating from one side to another. The base is flat. Probably a fishing net weight.
It is 50.60 mm in height. The base measures 22.54 x 26.01 mm. It weighs 155.15g.

A post medieval copper alloy trade weight from a stacking set. The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in cross section. The front surface has a recessed centre . The front has a stamped letter possibly an "A" or an "I" at one edge.The reverse has a series of concentric circles occupying the central half. The weight has a green patina and some grey corrosion at one side.
The date could be from James I or James II or later. Broadly AD 1600-1800
