A Medieval to early post-Medieval (1400-1700) copper-alloy cup weight of 63.48g (a little over 2 Troy oz or perhaps ~1/8 lb Averdepois), from a set of nested weights. The weight is bowl-shaped and circular in form with a flat base, rounded sides which are 19.9mm high and a rim of 39.4mm diameter. The object has marks from lathe finishing.

The lower portion is incomplete and the object appears to have been hollow towards the base, possibly originally incorporating a separate element of a different material such as iron or copper alloy.

A cast copper alloy circular pan or trade weight of 13.94g (1/2oz). The weight has a wide and prominent upstanding rim and a deep incised circle defining the centre of the upper surface. The weight is stamped with the ewer (for the London Founders Company, used to demonstrate adherence to standards) and two county marks for Surrey (SY). The centre of both sides has a dimple from lathe finishing.
