Copper alloy leg of a post-medieval skillet or pipkin, a cauldron type vessel with 3 legs. The object is anthropomorphic in style, representing a human leg and foot. The leg is triangular in section. Above the foot is a protruding lip, the foot is then flat on the floor. A leg of the same style was found in York and dates to the late 15th- early 16th centuries (Ottaway and Rogers; 2002; 2809-10) but similar styles continued until around the 18th century.

A circular mount, probably for attachment to the inside of a medieval wooden drinking bowl known as a mazer. The mount comprises a thin sheet disc with a stout central rivet on the back, inserted through a hole in the mount and flat at both ends. The mount appears to have die-punched decoration which comprises a central four-leaf motif within a cross-hatched field and a pelleted frame. Outside this is a raised thin and thick circular frame then another frame of raised pellets.

A fragment of enamelled copper-alloy hook-mount from a hanging bowl. This fragment comprises the lower section only, and represents around 30% of the whole object. The surviving piece measures 37mm high by 39mm wide. The complete fitting would have been pear-shaped, culminating in a hook which would have fitted over the rim of the bowl and would have retained a suspension ring. The body of the fragment has a raised decoration of spirals, with a somewhat asymmetrical rendition adapted to fit into an oval rather than circular field. The result has lent a somewhat ornithomorphic appearan…

A cast copper alloy foot and part of a leg from a Medieval to Post Medieval vessel. The leg is wide and thin and broadly trapezoidal in cross section with a wider front than back. The leg curves outwards at the front to form the foot which has a flat trapezoidal base. The leg rises at c.70 degrees from the base. The front corners of the foot are rounded and there is an old break at the top of the leg. Butler, Green and Payne (2009, pg 4) suggest that this form of pot leg (type A) was widespread in the Medieval period with examples still in use into the early 17th century.
