A cast copper alloy vessel handle probably from a late Medieval or Post-Medieval vessel such as a posnit or cauldron. The fragment consists of a sharply bent sub-circular sectioned rod with two flat ends. The fragment has a dark green and black surface which is pitted in parts leaving a lighter green pitted surface. The flat ends are smooth.

Rally ID: 497 Unknown (Possibly Roman): A cast copper alloy object, possibly a vessel leg / foot, and possibly Roman in date. The base of the foot is sub rectangular. The side faces and the front face are concave, the reverse face is slightly convex and leans outwards slightly rather than being vertical. The upper edge is a broken surface. A fragmentary cast copper-alloy bowl of uncertain date. The simplicity of construction and lack of any diagnostic features make dating of this piece difficult. Approximately three quarters of the vessel survives, broken (in antiquity) into six irregular pieces. The base of the vessel is flat and has adhering substances on the inner surface. The break between the base and side is imperceptible, the latter angling upwards at approximately 80 degrees. The surviving fragment is oval shaped in section, rectangular in form and has a slight casting seam along one edge. It terminates at both ends in old breaks and has blackened or sooted surfaces. The fragment measures 22.65mm in length, 13.86mm in width, 11.05mm in thickness, and weighs 17.41g. This is a fragment from a cast cpper-alloy object, possibly from a cooking vessel or similar object. It is of uncertain date, c.43-1700 AD.

A fragment of a copper-alloy handle of uncertain date. The piece represents one end of a parallel-sided handle and has a slight curvature along its length. The upper surface has a central decorative band flanked by two deep grooves which, in turn, are flanked by two grooved ridges. The bottom surface of the handle is angled, the upper surface jagged as a result of an old break. The object measures 16.2mm long, 19.4mm wide, 5.8mm thick and weighs 9.84g.
