A complete copper-alloy strap end of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. The object comprises two heater shield shaped plates joined together at the lower pointed terminal. The opposite end is open, though joined with a central rivet. The sides of the plates are broadly parallel. The upper surface of one plate is decorated with a shallowly incised triangle flanked by pellets. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn.
