The artefact comprises of the lower half of a tongue-shaped plate composed of Winchester-style openwork 'plant scrolls' decoration moulded in low relief with four apertures; the reverse is flat. A fragment of a copper alloy zoomorphic terminal from a strap end dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 700-1000), of Thomas class B type 4. The fragment is is 33.2mm in length with a worn break at one end. The terminal is in the form of an animal head with moulded features and is sub-rectangular in cross-section; the eyes are separate black inlays, possibly glass, of which one remains. . There is at least one additional confronted pair of heads positioned behind the terminal, however the details are too worn to discern. The underside is undecorated.

An incomplete, copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date, dating to AD 1400-1500. The object is rectangular in plan, consisting of two plates terminating in a highly stylised knop, which as been damaged. The front plate has incised decoration. The back plate is flat and undecorated. The terminal end has a rounded knop, resembling an acorn. (See Egan & Pritchard (1991), 148-149, figs. 704 and 705).
