An incomplete Medieval-Post Medieval copper alloy mount, dating to the 15th-17th century. The object is in the form of a stretched oval with traces of a raised rim on the reverse, which would have housed the end of the strap. The front is decorated with two crossed lines, which would have been mirrored on the other side to form a central lozenge. Within the central lozenge is a quatrefoil with eight lines radiating from it. There are pellets in the middle of four of the lines (at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock).
