An incomplete Medieval lead alloy openwork panel, probably dating 13th – 16th century. It depicts the narrative scene of the Adoration of the Kings (Magi), closely resembling the Epiphany scene as seen on the front façade of the Shrine of the Three Kings from Cologne Cathedral, a reliquary commenced and entrusted to goldsmith Nicholas of Verdun, and completed in AD 1225, 20 years after his death. An incomplete copper alloy panel of late Medieval to Post Medieval date (c. AD 1400-1700). The panel is inscribed with five letters: NCDEH with breaks at the N and after the H. There is also an incised line above the letters parallel to the top edge of the panel and a small dash below and between the C and D. The purpose of this panel is unknown. The overall dimensions are as follows: 9.4mm in length, 21.72mm in width, 1.9mm in thickness and 2.52g in wieght.
