Rim sherd from a 17th-18th century glazed cream pancheon. The fabric is dark grey with bright orange oxidised areas on the outer side. The fabric has sparse very fine quartz sand and limestone inclusions. The limestone is up to 1.3mm across. The inner side is glazed with a mid olive-brown glaze and there are splashes on the outer side; the glaze is clear in places on the rim suggesting the inner side may be mis-coloured. Base sherd from a 16th-17th century glazed crean pancheon in a buff fabric. The fabric has abundent (c.20%) medium quartz sand temper with some limestone inclusions up to 1.8mm. across. The outerside has a dark orange brown surface and the inner side is glazed with a bright yellow-green glaze. There is a small patch of smithing slag or other iron residue attached to one corner. The colour on the outerside, glaze colour and prescense of the iron may suggest it is a waster. The breaks are not abraded. It weighs 16.90 grams.
