A fragment of a copper alloy bar mount of Medieval date, from around AD 1150 - 1450.   The mount comprises of a surviving arm with the remainder of the mount lost.  The arm is sub rectangular in plan and D shaped in cross section with a flat underside.   The terminal end of the arm has a raised semi circular collar below a rounded sub-circular terminal knop. A complete post-medieval copper alloy strap mount dating from AD 1500 - 1700. It is sub-triangular, moulded into a possible lotus design with a flat back and convex front. There are two integral pointed mounting spikes on the reverse, both bent over to grip the leather. It is 16.8mm long, 14.7mm wide and 5.7mm thick. 1.8g. Compare fig 5 in Maslin (2021) Finds Research Group datasheet 55 where a similarly shaped mount is described as a lotus used as a heraldic motif.

An incomplete circular cast lead alloy horse harness (blinker) mount or strap-mounted bridle rosette of post Medieval to modern date, 45.3mm in diameter and of "composite centre" type (Maslin, 2020). The mount is decorated in high relief, with a exterior border of five-point stars around an annular band with beaded borders and a central recessed area of radial lines.
