Fragment, the distal end only, of a post-medieval to modern lathe-turned copper alloy probable priest, "a mallet used to kill fish caught when angling" (Concise Oxford Dictionary, 10th edition, 1999). A central blind hole in the convex end suggests that the object was finished on a lathe. Extant length 15.5mm. Diameter at break 25.5mm. Maximum diameter 32.5mm. Weight 57g. 18th - 19th century.
