Fragment of late Iron Age copper-alloy D-shaped terret, now very corroded but perhaps originally enamelled. It has a sub-circular or slightly oval upright collar terminal 13.7mm wide, 12.1mm tall and 4.8mm thick. From one side of this projects a triangular-section upper ring, with a flat inner and an angled outer. On the other side of the collar, at its base, is a stub of the attachment bar which shows that this was rectangular-section, 6.5 x 3.4mm, and set vertically. An incomplete copper alloy transverse wing terret dating to the Iron Age (c.100 cal BC - AD 100). About one third of the ring survives. The surviving fragment is made up of a circular cross sectioned bar bent into a curve that would have originally being circular or D-shaped in Plan. It is of Lewis type 19, a continental influenced or imported terret of drop bar type. Similar examples on the database include ESS-CEA70D and LIN-159D68. The border bears vegetal swags and pellets and the boss bears a fleur de lis within a cabled basal border. Plain circular collars are present to either side of the skirt from which the main ring extends. A complete medieval copper alloy possible harness or strap fitting, dating to c. AD 1200-1400. The fitting is a circular hoop, with a large oval section projecting out from one side. This has four incised lines evenly spaced, and represents a simple flower design. The hoop is D shaped in cross section, and has casting spues projecting out from it. The hoop is D shaped. The fitting has a dark brown patina, and measures 20.0mm in length, 17.6mm in width, and weighs 6.65g.

An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy harness fitting dating to the period AD 43-120. The fitting co prises part of the rectangular loop with a rectangular-sectioned frame. Integral to the surviving long edge is a pelta-shaped plate with a short curved arm missing hte tip. The opposite arm is missing. The centre of the plate extends slightly to a transverse break. The surfaces are very worn. The patina is light green. The harness fitting measires 14.8mm long, 16.4mm wide, 2.4mm thick and weighs 1.40 grams.
