Red-tinged Gold Finger Ring, with apparently hollow hoop of flattened oval section, mounting a rectangular cushion-shaped bezel for a stone (now lost). The upper sides of bezel are decorated with incised vertical billeting below a horizontal border; curvilinear decoration is also inscribed at the shoulders of the hoop. Ring is now slightly distorted. The thin hoop and rectangular bezel may suggest a 17th or 18th-century date (Oman 1930, plate XVI). The ring has been notified as potential Treasure (2010 T32). Length 18.89mm, Width: 16.37mm, Thickness of hoop: 1.75mm, Weight: 1.67gms

Gold posy ring, inscribed 'remember mee'. There are traces of black enamel left in the inscription. It is a very charming piece being so small in size, but as it is otherwise plain and bears no assay marks, it is very difficult to date with any accuracy. There is certainly no evidence to date it pre-1700, and it is most likely to be 18th century. It does not therefore fall within the Treasure remit.
