Date: probably 16th or early 17th century
Description: Silver-gilt ring, the hoop of D section, decorated on the exterior with a foliate wreath in relief, bound on each side and at top and bottom. The interior plain and the gilding much worn.
Discussion: Although there is no precisely comparable ring in the British Museum, the general shape and decoration are consistent with a date in the 16th or 17th century.
Metal content: The precious metal content fulfils the requirements of the Treasure Act in that it is greater than 10%.

There are no markings on the interior or exterior of the finger ring, but a large circular buckle frame and pin have been soldered to the surface, the frame is broken. The joint in the hoop is situated behind the buckle. The copper alloy is a mid reddish-green colour. This ring date to the post-medieval period, circa 1600 – 1850.

An incomplete cast copper alloy finger ring, which is probably post-medieval in date. The bezel measures 11.7mm x 8.6mm. The bezel is oval with a rim and appears to not be decorated. Either side of the bezel there are the wide shoulders. The hoop is basic and has a D-shaped section. The metal is dark brownish-green in colour and heavily pitted.

A large cast copper alloy finger ring, probably a male finger ring, meant to be worn over a glove - due to the size of the hoop. The bezel is flat and octagonal in shape and has incised decoration on it - but this surface is badly corroded resulting in the loss of the surface. The design is possible a Tudor rose. The bezel sits proud of the shoulders. The shoulders then taper to the back of the hoop, the hoop has a D-shaped section.
The ring is probably post-medieval in date.
Bezel size = 17.7mm x 16.2mm x 5.02mm

A complete copper alloy finger ring with traces of gilding. This ring probably dates to the post-medieval period. The ring is simple in design, the hoop has a circular section. The bezel again is of simple design, parallelogram-shaped in plan with two incised lines running parallel to the angled edges. The surface retains a substantial amount of the original gilding. The exposed copper is mid bluish-green.

A silver belt and buckle finger ring.
The finger ring has a wide hoop, at 7.5mm, the central design is a D-shaped buckle, with the pin sticking through it. The strap loop, three holes and the end of the strap are all visible.
The internal edge of the ring has the following hallmark: CL, an anchor (Birmingham), a Lion (one paw raised, facing left) this is the Standard mark and a small k. The k dates this ring to between 1782-1909. It is most likely to be late 18th century.

An incomplete cast copper alloy finger ring, probably post-medieval in date.
The ring has a split bezel. The hoop has a D-shaped section which expands into a flattened, triangular terminal. Only one terminal survives as the other has broken off. The flat end of the surviving terminal indicates that the bezel must have been split, as it does not attach to the other terminal.

The hoop has a rectangular section which expands into flaring shoulders, which in turn expand into a rectangular bezel. The bezel is undecorated but either side of the bezel has been incised with two parallel lines.

Description: A gold finger ring with a D-shaped section, no joint is evident in the hoop of the ring. The exterior of the hoop is undecorated. The interior of the hoop is inscribed with serifed letters Like to me looke to be. In between me and looke there is a stylised depiction of a skull. Inside some of the angles of the letters traces of black enamel can be seen. The area between the beginning and the end of the inscription is undecorated.

Description:
A fragment of a silver finger ring. Only one half of the bezel survives. The surviving half represents one half of a pair of clasped hands. The four fingers are drawn out with incised markings and the thumb is visible. The second hand has been removed with the break but the thumb remains. The other break occurs at the shoulder, so there is no further detailing of the clothing. The reverse is undecorated.

A gold undiagnostic finger ring. It has been looked at by Judy Rudoe of the British Museum and the Treasure Registrars. Judy Rudoe commented: 'I can not identify the mark, but I suspect by its form that it is later, so not Treasure'. The finger ring has been bent and distorted out of shape. The hoop has a D-shaped section, no bezel, shoulders or other decoration is evident. The internal surface features the makers mark WA inside a rectangle. This ring is likely to date to the 18th - 19th century.

The bezel is of simple design, with a square bezel, incised with a cross. The bezel has a rim, formed from a wavy edge, with three lobes on each side. The bezel measures 8 x 7.6 x 4mm. The metal is a dark brownish-grey.
