A complete cast copper alloy finger ring. It has a flat rectangular cross section, and the band is the same width all the way around. There is a pelleted border on both edges. Around the band at random locations are stamped decoration of a cross pattee. Some are partially stamped, some stamped over the border, and some on top of one another. It is unclear as to why these random crosses have been stamped onto the ring, and no comparisons can be made. The ring is in very good condition. It is likely this is post medieval due to the condition and the shape / cross-section of the band. …

A incomplete cast band of copper alloy. It is a rectangular band, with a flat profile. It has been bent into a square, although there is only three sides of the square present, and two of those are incomplete. One of the breaks seems to have worn, although the other could have happened more recently. There are sections of cross hatched decoration on each side of the square. It is possibly this is a finger ring, that has bent out of shape. Apart from the breaks it is in good condition, and has a dark green patina. It appears it to be post medieval. 22.64mm x 13.75mm x 1.34mm…

Post-Medieval gold posy ring, a small thin gold hoop, inscribed inside 'A small rememberance' with maker's mark R over W in a square shield. This mark does not occur on any of the BritishMuseum rings and is not one that we have identified. Given that this ring has no other datable features, it is not possible to confirm that the ring is more than 300 years old. Dimensions: Weight: 2.5 g Diameter: 23 mm The find cannot be securely dated to pre-1709 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996. Judy Rudoe …

Date: early 18th Century Description: Post-Medieval gold mourning ring. D-shaped band, exterior once decorated, now very worn. Inscription on internal surface: HS ob 25 Mar at 48 (HS died 25 March aged 48). There is a gap in the inscription where the year of death is usually represented, four lines have been scratched into this gap, rather than engraved, this appears to be 1711. Inscription is followed by a maker's mark DC crowned (?). Discussion: The same maker's mark appears on rings in the British Museum collections: AF1295, AF1339, and 1961…
