A complete silver Finger Ring of Post-Medieval or Modern date (AD 1600-1900). The object is composed of a D shaped sectioned band. The inner face of the ring is plain and undecorated. The outer face of the ring is decorated with an incised roman lettering which reads: H.C. There is an incised linear decorative pattern flaking the initials. The pattern is symmetrical and is composed of an upper and lower curvilinear line within which are two further lines. A complete base silver Finger Ring of late Post-Medieval to Modern date (AD 1750-1900). The object is composed of a circular band with a shallow D shaped section. Both the inner and outer band are plain and undecorated. No butt join is visible.
Diameter: 22.95mm, Thickness: 1.69mm, Weight: 5.5g
The metal has areas of green copper corrosion.
It is not possible to date the object as being prior to 1722, due to a lack of diagnostic features, and therefore it does not constitute Treasure.
