The ring is D-shaped in cross-section with a convex outer face. The inner face exhibits the inscription "CHOS NOT TO CHANG" in Roman capitals. A Probable Post-Medieval copper alloy ring, probably dating to c. AD 1600-1800. The ring consists of a plano-convex sectioned loop, with a circumferential band of punched dots around either edge. Diameter: 25.20mm, thickness: 2.20mm, weight: 3.08g. It is difficult to parallel such an undiagnostic object, but a post-medieval date seems most likely.
