A Post Medieval gold finger-ring of late 17th century date. The ring has an oval bezel (9.5mm x 8.6mm) which is set with a faceted rock-crystal beneath which are traces of a gold monogram representing the initials of the deceased on plain black to Grey background. The monogram is faded, off center and difficult to read. Black enamel survives in the floral decoration on the shoulders and in the oblong cells decorating the underside of the bezel; each of these cells has a white enamel dot at the base. A Post Medieval gold finger ring of 16th to 17th century date. The ring is decorated with a geometric grid pattern on the exterior containing significant remains of white enamel. Each square in the grid is appox 0.9mm wide. An inscription runs around the interior of the ring which appears to be in French ˜+PRENE + EN + GRE+". The inscription retains much of the original black enamel. The inscription may be translated "Accept this willingly". A complete but heavily worn gilt-silver posie/posy Finger Ring of Post-Medieval date, c.16th century. Description: The ring has an evenly well-formed band, D-shaped cross section. The interior circumference has an incised inscription typical of the type, in block capitals, it reads '+VERTV PASETH RICHES'. The initial mark is indeterminate. Post-medieval copper alloy finger ring hammered out from a coin. D-sectioned ring with cast inscription within beaded borders in relief on inner face: NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR (the date is obscured by corrosion). The coin would date to 1852-1870. The ring is 21.95mm in diameter and 5.15mm wide. It weighs 1.9g. This is possibly similar to NMS-9B3544 but unfortunately there is no image yet.

An Early Post Medieval gold Puzzle fede-ring ring of 17th - 18th century date . The ring is made up of three bands of gold; one beaded on either side of which is a plan band. All three are interlaced at the back. The bezel is attached to the center beaded band and is in the form of two clasped hands. The ring is 21.1mm in diameter, 3.8mm wide, 1.1mm thick and weighs 3.83 grams. Similar example of Puzzle fede-rings can be seen in the British Museum collections: AF.1157/Dalton 1912 1074. As the ring cannot be securely dated to pre-1712 it falls outside the remit of the Treasure Act.

A Post-Medieval gold finger-ring of likely 18th -19th century in date. Description: The ring is thin and has a band that is D-section. Inscribed in lower case on the inside: "In love abide till death divide", then more crudely incised with initials ES. Dimensions: 21mm in diameter,, 4mm thick and weight 5.8g Discussion: The use of lower case lettering and its thin band suggests a 18th century date. Thus the find cannot be safely dated before 1716 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

A Post-Medieval (c.1600-1800) copper-alloy finger-ring with engraved bezel The ring has a flat wide rectangular engraved bezel with very small tirangular shoulders with engraved decoration extending from the bezel onto the shoulders.
