A complete but warped, cast, gold, inscribed, finger-ring or 'posie' dating to the 16th or 17th centuries. Description: The hoop is circular in plan, and is worn and crushed. The external circumference is decorated with a continuous, moulded relief which is difficult to discern due to damage, but has the appearance of a scrolling, foliate, pattern. The inscription, which runs around the internal circumferences, is in uppercase and reads 'VIVE . VT . VIVAS'.
