A complete and misshapen gold posy finger ring of early eighteenth century date. Length: 23.5mm, width: 12.0mm. Weight 1.27g. Treasure case no. 2007 T244 (disclaimed). The ring is inscribed on the inside of the D-section hoop "I cannot show the love I O". This is followed by a stamped maker's mark in a rectangular punch of the letters PE in Roman capitals. This inscription appears on a ring in the British Museum's collections. It is listed in Joan Evans "English Posies and Posy Rings" (1931). The maker's mark appears to be that of William Pearson, who registered as a smallworker in 1704.

A complete cast copper alloy finger ring of probable Post Medieval date (c. AD 1500 - c. AD 1800). Outer diameter 23.6mm, inner diameter 20.0mm and 1.5mm thick. Weight 2.72g. The hoop is D-shaped in cross section and has a width of 3.1mm. It appears to have been cast in one piece, formed into a hoop and the join soldered. The outer face is plain and the inner face is inscribed: ATOKeN OF LOVe. No space between the A and T. The letters are capitals except the letter e's which are lower case. The ring is in good condition but does not have a patina.

An incomplete post-Medieval or possibly Modern copper-alloy finger-ring (c. 1500-c. 1900 AD). This finger-ring comprises about 50% of the hoop. It has a small 'bezel' in the form of a heart. The 'bezel' and shoulder are the same width and the shoulder is raised at each edge. On the shoulder, within the raised edge, there is a raised zigzag style pattern. This ring has no indication of gilding left on the surface and no decoration on the metal. There is a large setting for a stone, although that has been lost in antiquity; this setting area contains a fragment of cloth covered in white paste, which would have held the stone in place. Part of the ring's loop has broken off prior to or during deposition and the thin sides of the stone setting have broken off during deposition.
