A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy finger-ring (c. 1500-c. 1700). This finger-ring is misshapen. It has an integral oval bezel which is decorated on the top with incised grooves. Two grooves form a saltire cross. Two opposite angles of the cross are plain and the other two angles are hatched to form lozenges. The edges of the bezel, close to the shoulders, have oblique incised grooves. The plain shoulders taper into the hoop, which is 'D'-shaped in cross-section and terminate in overlapping ends. A complete and corroded post-Medieval cast copper-alloy finger-ring (c. 1650-c. 1750 AD). This ring has a plain hoop and an oval bezel which measures 18.56 x 14.45mm. The upper face of the bezel has incised decoration consisting of six evenly spaced eight-pointed stars in oval formation with another similar star at the centre. A fragment of a post-Medieval silver-gilt finger-ring (1500-1650). Treasure case no. 2014 T219. The outer face of the plain hoop is convex and the flat inner face is inscribed: [?] CHANGE with serifed capitals. The N has a reversed bar. Gilding has survived on the inner face with small patches on the outer face. The breaks appear to be old. 25.7mm (length); 5.5mm (width); 1.0mm (thickness). Weight: 1.16g. The circular hoop, without shoulders or bezel, is decorated externally but is plain internally. Decoration consists of three evenly spaced diagonal grooves. Viewing an impression, the upper surface of the bezel has initial letters: W C, with a heart above. The surviving parts of the shoulders taper from the bezel towards breaks.
