A complete copper-alloy finger ring of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 - 1700. The finger ring is circular in plan with a sub-rectangular section and narrows from the bezel to the hoop. The integral bezel comprises a central rectangular panel with raised lozenge design flanked by four, two to each side, incised X's. The interior of the hoop is undecorated. The metal has a dark red patina and is worn. The finger ring is 18.4mm in diameter, 4mm wide, 1mm thick and weighs 1.3g.

A complete, post-medieval, copper-alloy finger ring c.AD 1700-1900. The ring consists of a decorated sheet of copper alloy that has a rectangular cross-section, with an internal diameter of 17.0mm. The exterior surface is decorated around the hoop with a repeating pattern of chevrons and lozenges filled with abstract flower designs. The ring is crushed and distorted out of shape. It measures 5.06mm in height, is 1.80mm thick and weighs 2.8g. Other similar examples are recorded on the database: SOM-A5A990, YORYM-3A6E98.

It is constructed of thin gauge copper alloy sheet which has been machine pressed, and is decorated on the outside of the loop with a series of moulded ring and dot motifs representing flowers and scrolling foliage. The inside is plain and unmarked. There is a butt joint. The ring has a rough, dark brown patina. it is 20.5mm in diameter, 5mm wide and 0.9mm thick. It weighs 1.65g.

A copper alloy finger ring, probably of post medieval date, AD1500-1800. The hoop is of a D section , rising to a narrow, flat ridge in the centre of the outside edge. There is also a slight ridge on the inside of the hoop. The bezel is a pointed oval shape, with scalloped edges. It is decorated with ten small rings around the edge and a further small ring, somewhat off-centre, in the middle. The hoop of the ring is 22mm in diameter: the bezel is 20.8mm long and 15.8mm wide. The weight is 4.86gm. A ring of very similar design can be found on the database at reference SUR-815880.

Description: A bent gold finger ring engraved with a heart with crossed arrows on each side flanked by scrolling foliage. The band is D-shaped in section and the inside bears the inscription 'Kindly take this for my sake' followed by a stamped IY (or IV). Discussion: See ring in the British Museum collections, 1961,1202.116, for a ring with the same mark, probably that of John Young entered in 1760 and in use until at least 1793. The find dates to later than 1712 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

A gold posy ring of Post-Medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1800. The hoop is D shaped in section, plain on the outer side and inscribed on the inside with italic script reading "All I refuse and thee I chuse" , with long S forms, followed by a rectangular cartouche containing the maker's mark TT in blackletter style. It is slightly misshapen, being now oval rather than round. It is 22mm in diameter and 1.4mm thick. It weighs 4.39gm. Compare two examples in the British Museum: AF.1197 and 1961,1202.19 which are both given a date range of the 17th to 18th centuries.
