Date: Probably 17th to 18th century Description: An incomplete silver finger ring probably of the Post Medieval period, probably dating from c. AD 1600 - c. AD 1800. The object is in two pieces and shows evidence of old breaks at each end. There is a larger and a smaller piece. Both are rectangular in plan and are D-shaped in cross-section. The outer surface is decorated with incised grooves forming diagonal rectangles that overlap and underlay each other forming a braided or plaited design.
