A copper-alloy finger ring of probable Post-Medieval date. It has a plain band that is D-shaped in section and expands towards the bezel. The bezel itself is rectangular in form with vertical grooves to either side at the shoulders. It is decorated on its front face with an incised motif, perhaps intended to be a six-pointed star or similar. The entire object has very worn surfaces with only traces of a dark green patina visible in places. A copper-alloy Post Medieval finger ring, dating to AD 1600-1800. It has a flat hoop and bears a moulded decoration on the outer face. The decoration consists of a sequence of 7 rectangular panels defined by transverse shallow grooves; the panels bear the same floreal motif. The inner face is undecorated. Description: A fragment of a late medieval to early psot-medieval gilded silver finger ring. Only around 1/3 of the original extent of the hoop now survives. This is D-shaped in cross-section with a flat inner surface and a convex outer surface with deep groove running along both edges. Between these two grooves the outer face is decorated with two incised saltire crosses with a group of five transverse grooves between them. Both faces are gilded, but this has worn away in places. Description: A complete gold post-medieval mourning finger ring. The hoop is D-shaped in cross-section. The outer surface is decorated at the bezel with an engraved skull motif, which is depicted slightly in profile.
