A glass bezel from a Roman finger-ring. Very dark blue with a layer of pale blue on top, to imitate nicolo. It is oval with bevelled edges and flat upper and lower surfaces. On the upper surface there is an engraved human figure standing left possibly holding something in the right hand, although it is heavily abraded and little detail now survives. There is a triangular notch above the left shoulder. There is a chip from the edge of the reverse. It dates from the 2nd-3rd century. It is 12.5mm long, 10mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 0.6g …

A dark blue/green glass bezel from a Roman finger ring. It is oval and is very thin. Much of the edge on one side is now damaged. There are two oblong indents on the upper surface, which are now too worn and abraded to interpret as decoration. It dates from the 2nd-3rd century. It is 8mm long, 5.3mm wide, 1.2mm thick and weighs 0.07g.

Glass bezel from a Roman finger-ring. Very dark blue with a layer of pale blue glass on top, as a nicolo imitation. It is oval with bevelled edges and flat upper and lower surfaces. The engraved device represents a human figure advancing right, possibly of Mercury, holding what might be a purse in the left hand and carrying something over the right shoulder. It is heavily abraded and has some damage to the upper surface and there is slight damage to the outer edge on the reverse. It dates from the 2nd-3rd centuries. It is 9.8mm long, 6.9mm wide, 3.0mm thick and weighs 0.32g. …

A plano-convex white (i.e. clear) glass stone of diameter 10mm, facetted on its convex face, now detached from a silver sheet setting bearing a stamped or impressed circumferential cabled motif. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1920. Diameter (assembled): 13.95mm, Thickness (setting): 0.4mm, Weight: 0.63gms.
