Silver finger ring. Flattened bezel, pointed oval in outline, with DE two dots M rather roughly incised on it. Shoulders thickened and notched to form the pointed ends of the bezel. D-section hoop c.3mm wide, 2mm thick, worn at the back. Internal diameters 18 x 115mm. The style is Roman; the inscription might have been intended to be DEI M (often DEI MER) for 'to the god Mercury'. Compare NMS-DE40B2.

Copper alloy hoop of circular section; tapers markedly towards the terminals which are sub-rounded at their edges. Objects such as these are known from Viking-age contexts, for example in Thetford; they are considered not to be ear-rings because there is no firm evidence for an Anglo-Scandinavian fashion of wearing ear-rings of any sort.

Copper alloy finger ring; formed from a strip of copper alloy 11mm thick bent round to form a closed ring with overlapping straight-edged terminals; the front surface of the metal is obscured by corrosion, making the identification of surface decoration difficult, though an outer border is just evident as a groove running adjacent to both edges; such rings are known from pagan Saxon graves, though its simple form does not preclude a much broader date range also.
