A silver hammered coin attached to a piece of lead. The coin is cracked round the edges and half of one side is firmly attached to a sub-circular piece of lead. The coin seems to be attached by the lead corrosion that has developed. The coin is very worn and is totally illegible, but it appears to be medieval in date. The lead is bent so that it lies against the half of the coin to which it has fused, but then bends back away from the coin at a forty five degree angle. A copper alloy Roman radiate coin probably of Victorinus (268 - 270 AD). Probably Salus on reverse feeding a snake in her arms. The coin is worn and corroded. It is 18.4mm in diameter and 1.8mm thick, weighing 1.7g. It is probably RIC, Vol V, Part II, page 393, number 65 or page 397, number 122 minted at the Southern mint or Cologne.

A silver half groat coin of Charles I (1625 - 1649). The coin is pierced and sinuously bent, but not as regularly as is often seen on Georgian love tokens. The obverse is very worn. It is a group B issue showing the second bust with II behind. There is a plume mintmark dating the coin to 1630 - 1631. The reverse legend is written out in full. For reference see North's English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, page 161, number 2250.

It dates from some time between 1351 (Edward III Pre Treaty coinage) and 1485 (Richard III). It could have been issued by Edward III, Richard II, Henry V, Henry VI, Edward IV or Richard III. It was minted at York. The coin is 17.1mm diameter and 0.5mm thick. It weighs 0.6g.

A silver cut half short cross penny of John (1199 – 1216 AD), class 5 a-c (c. 1205 – 1218 AD) minted by Gifrei at Norwich. The coin is 17.71mm long, 7.9mm wide, 0.8mm thick and weighs 0.57g. This coin was found very close to a folded piece of lead with the imprint of a semicircle within the fold (related find SWYOR-6FBCB0) and it is believed that the coin may have been folded within the lead when lost.

A copper alloy Roman coin; probably a sestertius. The coin has a diameter of 29.5mm and is 3.4mm thick. It weighs 11.7g but is very worn and corroded. The surface detail is completely lost with much pitting and corrosion on both faces. The edges are badly chipped. The coin cannot be identified more specifically, but sestertii were issued from about 23BC until 269AD.

A copper alloy Roman nummus coin probably of Constans (AD 333 - 350), Fel Temp Reparatio 'hut' type showing a soldier pulling a barbarian from a hut (AD 348 - 350). The mintmark is illegible. The coin has a diameter of 20.9mm and is 2.1mm thick. It weighs 3.7g. The obverse is very corroded but the reverse is in better condition. Though the mint cannot be identified, the coin is similar to numbers 28-31 in Late Roman Bronze Coinage. This coin was bought, but is believed to come from Lincoln.
