A silver hammered coin attached to a piece of lead. The coin is cracked round the edges and half of one side is firmly attached to a sub-circular piece of lead. The coin seems to be attached by the lead corrosion that has developed. The coin is very worn and is totally illegible, but it appears to be medieval in date. The lead is bent so that it lies against the half of the coin to which it has fused, but then bends back away from the coin at a forty five degree angle. A silver half groat coin of Charles I (1625 - 1649). The coin is pierced and sinuously bent, but not as regularly as is often seen on Georgian love tokens. The obverse is very worn. It is a group B issue showing the second bust with II behind. There is a plume mintmark dating the coin to 1630 - 1631. The reverse legend is written out in full. For reference see North's English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, page 161, number 2250.

A silver cut half short cross penny of John (1199 – 1216 AD), class 5 a-c (c. 1205 – 1218 AD) minted by Gifrei at Norwich. The coin is 17.71mm long, 7.9mm wide, 0.8mm thick and weighs 0.57g. This coin was found very close to a folded piece of lead with the imprint of a semicircle within the fold (related find SWYOR-6FBCB0) and it is believed that the coin may have been folded within the lead when lost.

A silver cut quarter penny probably of Henry II (1154 – 1189), probably Class 1a or 1b (1180 – 1189). The obverse seems to be the bottom right quarter of the coin. Only the “S” in the legend is visible with a pellet after it, which strongly suggests Class 1a or 1b. On the reverse, the legends seems to be “REI” followed by a pellet. This suggests that the moneyer is probably either Hvnferei at York or Iefrei at Oxford. The coin is 9.7mm long, 9mm wide and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 0.3g. It can be paralleled with North 962 or 963.
