Cunobelinus centaur type; [CVNOBELINI] (Laureate head left). Reverse: TAS-C[I-OVA-NI F], A centaur right, blowing a horn. (ABC 2957, BMC 1968-61, VA 2089).

An Iron Age copper-alloy unit of Tasciovanus dating to circa 15 to 10BC. (Van Arsdell type 1808-1) Obverse shows geometric pattern consisting of large pellet in centre and geometric pattern forming eight pointed star. VERLAMIO in between points although only the V is legible. Reverse shows bull left with tail curling over back. Two pellets survive to right of bull. The unit is 13.4mm in diameter and weighs 1.5g.

BMC 1703, ABC 2667 Van Arsdell illustrates a similar coin on page 370, no.1713-1, which he classifies as Tasciovanus First Coinage, dating from c.25-20 BC.

An Iron Age copper alloy unit, probably of Tasciovanus (20-9 BC), dating 15-10 BC. The obverse is very worn so difficult to discern what it would have depicted. The reverse depicts a horse running left. Although the obverse is no longer legible, the ring and dot at the head and shoulder of the horse, as well as the crescent in the field, are common on the coins of Tasciovanus.
