A slightly bent silver unit of Tasciovanus of the Trinovantes, dating to the period 25 BC - AD 10. Trailing reign type, BMC 1655 varient, ABC 2631. Struck on a flan of uneven thickness. This is a rare coin and is the first of its type recorced on the PAS database. The damage to the obverse is identical to that of one sold recently on eBay, suggesting that they were struck using the same die. The eBay coin (ex- Chris Rudd collection) was found in Duxford, Cambs.

A copper alloy unit of the North Thames region (Catuvellauni), attributed to Tasciovanos Cottam's 'Tasciovanos War Trumpet' type (ABC 2676), listed as 'very rare' in 2010 (under 30 recorded). Obverse shows a head facing right (BM/Hobbs profile 15) with pellet border only visible to top left. Reverse is of a horse and rider facing right with the latter holding a carnyx above the head. No inscriptions are visible on either side. Coin measures 15mm in diameter.
