 An early medieval Northumbrian Styca possibly of Aethelred II (c. AD 840 - 844). Possibly not from an official mint. Some letters appear retrograde. Both faces show a cross with pelleted border. Moneyer possibly Eanred. North 187/8 Diameter 12.5 mm, thickness 1 mm and weight 0.5 g
