Postmedieval foreign coin. A silver soldino minted in Venice between the years 1501- 1521 AD. The soldino depicts the doge Leonardo Loredan (1501-1521). Soldini were minted in Venice, and known as galyhalpens (galley-halfpence) because they were often brought into Britian by Venetian trading fleets.
