A lead disc from an alnage cloth seal of probable late 17th to early 18th century date. The sub-circular disc retains a portion of the folded connecting strip. The upper surface bears a crowned thistle in stamped relief. The thistle separates 'I / I/2', the duty in pence. Around the perimeter of the disc is a segmented border. The piece measures 16.9mm long, 14.5mm wide and 0.9mm thick. The weight is 1.13g.

A modern copy of a North-Eastern 'Ferriby' stater. This example is made out of lead. The obverse depicts a wreath made of two lines of diagonal lines. Next to this are two pellets. A deep groove runs across the coin adjacent to the lines. The reverse depicts a rather clumsy attempt at a horse left. This revese of this coin is almost identical to that on an apparently unfinished copy found several miles to the north-west in Stainton by Langworth: LIN-B89EFD. A half of a possible cast lead counterfitters mould for a George III halfpenny (34mm x 37mm; thickness: 6mm; weight: 34.74g), probably dating between 1800-20 AD as '18[ ]' is just visible on the surface. The bust seems to be facing right with the remains of the inscription around the outer edge. The back of the possible mould is plain with no decroation. However, if this artefact is mould, the inscription especially is not deep enough. It seems that this artefact may have also been taken from a real coin to get an impression with the coin placed on the lead.

This example is probably intended to resemble an Anglo-Saxon sceat, and appears from its edge to be constructed from the union of two separate thin flans. Their unpatinated surfaces may suggest this to be a recent addition to a corpus of fake base metal coins purporting to be of Anglo-Saxon or Iron Age date. A square sheet of lead with decoration that resembles the 'wreath crossed by a line' seen on the obverse of late Iron Age gold 'Ferriby' staters. The sheet is roughly square and has two rows of oval pellets running across the centre, with what appear to be two lines crossing it with possible crescentric terminals. The other side has a kidney-shape motif formed by concentric lines, but this is probably the result of the way the lead has solidified rather than being decoration. This object is possibly a failed casting of a lead core for a plated stater.

A possible contemporary copy, in lead, of an Anglo-Saxon silver sceatta. It is circular and has incised motifs on both sides. One side is decorated with a crescent of diagonally hatched lines, similar to the 'porcupine' imagery seen on Series E sceattas. In this instance, however, the diagonal lines run in the opposite direction to those on Series E sceattas. The decoration on the other side is more difficult to determine, and appears to comprise a series of geometric lines.

A probable lead alloy forgery based on an inscribed silver unit of the Corieltauvi, possibly imitating ABC 1896 'Vepo ring silver half unit', though the poor definition of the horse in particular is more akin to the discombobulated state of the beast appearing on gold staters; the size, thickness and weight also have more in common with the gold Iron Age coins than the silver.
