Silver, penny, Aethelred II (978-1016), long cross (c.997-1003), mint: Lydford, moneyer: Goda. Martin Allen (Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge) comments that; 'This is the first coin of the Lydford moneyer Goda in the Long Cross type recorded by EMC. There are however 19 coins of this mint, moneyer and type in the SCBI database, which may all be from hoards'.
