A Medieval silver short cross penny of Henry II, AD 1180-85. The coin is worn and has been clipped to produce short straight segments along part of the circumference. That part of the inscription which can be determined suggests that London is the mint (ending in -ND) and that the moneye's name, ending in -N, can therefore be that of only Iohan or Alain, moneyers in London, and of Class 1a or b.
