A worn and bent 16th-century silver post-medieval sixpence of Elizabeth I dating to 1566 AD (North 1997). This coin has a double perforation just within the inner circle through the reverse face. This was presumably to convert the coin into an item of jewellery, although the reverse shield would have been upside down when worn. The coin has also suffered some circumferential losses.
