A silver cut voided long cross farthing of Henry III, dating to c. 1248-50 AD within the Medieval period. The type is listed as possibly Class 2B, 3B, or Class 3C and was minted in Gloucester (cf. North 1994, Vol.1, 985-988). Obverse: [hENRI]CUS; too little of the central bust remains. Reverse: [ ]UCE[ ]; the section of the cut farthing is defined by the voided long cross and three pellets in the remaining coin quadrant. It is impossible to further refine the identification of this coin to a particular type, as it is missing the rest of the coin's legend and decoration.

A very worn, slightly bent, incomplete 13th-century silver medieval penny of Henry III, struck by the moneyer Lucas at the Gloucester mint (1248-1250 AD; probably Long voided cross Class 3b). It would seem that this coin has been folded and broken, with around a third of the flan lost at the break. As the break is slightly ragged and does not follow the voids it is assumed that it has not been cut in the conventional manner.
