On the basis of the evidence the Dirham fragment does not appear to have come from the same deposit as the finger-ring fragments (2007 T376 pt 2) and as such falls outside the provision of the Treasure Act of 1996.

XRF analysis of the surface of the silver dirham fragment indicates a silver content of close to 99%. The fragment weighs 0.33 grams.
