A Silver, struck unit of Amminus, 38-40AD. Obverse has a Letter 'A' in a circle within a wreath. Reverse has a Hippocamp right with 'AM' below and a pellet border. The reverse design struck a little off centre but all the design appears on the coin. An example of this coin can be seen in British Iron Age coins in the British Museum, Hobbs 1996, page 152 No. 2520 & 2521.

The coin is of the same type as KENT-132653, and was found in the same field. It dates from 25 - 5 BC. Similar to Symons 10/90, no 4 and has the same reverse die as FL 287 (Finney Loan collection).

The alternate pellet-in-ring and pellet design on the obverse is comparable with the border design on early Kentish bronze issues. The coin has a diameter of 11.9 - 12.6mm and it weighs 1 gram. It is an example of VA 1644 and M446c.

50BC. Silver unit, uninscribed. Probably minted in Kent by the Cantii tribe. Obverse: A symetrical design comprising two identical facing heads with spiky brushed-back hair, corded diadems and trailing locks shown as beaded lines below the diadem. If viewed inverted may represent a bucranium. Reverse: Spirited Celtic horse left with feathered feet. The ornaments surrounding the horse particularly those beneath it may represent a dismembered animal. The ornament above may represent a bucranium.
