Gold coin. Scyphate uninscribed gold quarter stater of the Corieltauvi, ABC Lindsey Scyphate no. ABC 1770. A very markedly concavo-convex flan of light weight; Haselgrove Period 2 Phase 6, 50-20 BC. Obverse description: Boar with pincushion bristles probably left, an arc of pellets above boar, pellets below and to left of boar. Reverse description: S enclosing ringed pellets, a double arc and pellet 'eyebrow' motif to either side, with further pellets above and below S. Diameter (long axis): 17.7mm, Thickness: 0.7mm, Weight: 1.29gms, die axis: probably 12

A fragment of a Roman gold coin, probably a contemporary copy of a solidus of the House of Valentinian (AD 364-78) with garbled legends. The obverse appears to be OH VALE[ ] which is probably copying D N VALE[NS or NTINIANVS P F AVG] and the reverse is [ ]ITVOR[ ] which most likely copies RESTIVTOR REI PVBLICAE or similar, with and emperor standing, holding Victory on globe and standard. The reverse depicts a beaded upright, which seems to be part of the pole of the standard.
