A Scottish copper alloy coin; probably a milled turner or bodle of Charles II (1660-1685), dating from 1677 onwards. It is 16.01mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick. It weighs 1.7gm. The coin is very worn, and seems slightly thicker and rounder than usual, but a thistle is clear on one face. Perhaps Spinks catalogue number 5630 (Coins of Scotland, Ireland and the Islands, 2002). The coin is 16.2mm diameter, 1.4mm thick and 1.62g.
