Copper alloy coin. Possibly a Decadrachm of Euainetos of Sicily [400-390 BC], reported as 'found wrapped in lead a number of years ago' at an unknown location in Barnetby le Wold parish. The definition of the coin is much less clear than illustrated examples (e.g. Auction Catalogue: Monnaies et Medailles S.A. Basel [Switzerland], for sale of 26-27 November 1974, no. 68), and this might suggest it to be a recent cast reproduction or tourist souvenir.
