An incomplete silver medieval penny of Edward I (1272-1307), Class 2b dating to c.AD1279-80, mint: Durham. Ref: Withers and Withers 2006: 22-23. The coin is incomplete with a broken flan, damaged where sections of the outer circle have cracked around the line of the inner circle and broken away.
