BRITANNIA COS IIII, S C reverse type depicting Britannia seated left on rock, head propped on right hand, left hand resting on rock. Mint of Rome. The coin is fairly worn with most of the inscription illegible due to wear and tear around the edges (thickness: 2mm; diameter: 22.1mm; weight: 7.16g).
Cf. RIC III, p. 142, no. 934. This is a Coin of British Association as listed by D. Walker in his study of the Sacred Spring at Bath, cf. Walker, 1988: pp. 294, 297-8, nos. 73-122, 136-288, pls. XXX…
