A copper alloy dupondius or as of Diva Faustina under Antoninus Pius dating to the period AD 141-161 (Reece Period 7). AETERNTAS reverse type depicts Pietas standing left raising her right hand and holding a box of incense, with SC in the field. Mint of Rome. RIC vol III p 166 no 1162. This is probably a 'Coin of British Association' struck at Rome only for use in Britain - see D. R. Walker 'The Roman Coins' from Bath, p. 298, no. 299 ff. 74 coins of this type were found at Bath.
